Children’s Mental Health Scholarship Program
Every child deserves access to mental health care when they need it—not months later, and not only if a family can afford it.
If financial barriers are standing in the way of your child receiving licensed mental health care, BLING Foundation may be able to help.
To ensure children receive the most appropriate care, scholarship requests are accepted through referrals from qualified professionals and community partners.
Who This Program Serves
Our Children's Mental Health Scholarship Program is designed to support children and families facing financial barriers to accessing mental health care. During our Missouri pilot phase, priority is given to the following:
✓ Children under the age of 18
✓ Children whose families are experiencing financial barriers to accessing licensed mental health care
✓ Children recommended for outpatient mental health therapy, with play therapy as the primary focus during our pilot phase
✓ Missouri families during the initial pilot phase, with plans to expand as the program grows

How This Program Works
What to Expect
- A licensed professional submits a referral on your child's behalf.
- BLING carefully reviews the referral and eligibility information.
- If approved, funding is provided directly to the licensed mental health provider.
- Your child begins receiving care.
What You Should Know
• Scholarship funding is limited and awarded based on available resources and eligibility.
• BLING works alongside insurance and other available resources whenever possible.
• Scholarships help cover a limited number of therapy sessions during the pilot program.
• All services are provided by licensed mental health professionals.
• This program is not intended for emergency or crisis situations. If your child is in immediate danger, call 911 or contact your local crisis services immediately.
