If the cost of therapy is preventing your child from receiving licensed mental health care, BLING Foundation may be able to help through our Children's Mental Health Scholarship Program.

Our goal is simple: remove financial barriers so children can receive the care they need—when they need it most.

Who We Help

Our Children's Mental Health Scholarship Program is designed to support children and families facing financial barriers to accessing licensed mental health care.

During our Missouri pilot phase, priority is given to:

  • Children under the age of 18
  • Families experiencing financial barriers to licensed mental health care
  • Children recommended for outpatient mental health therapy, with play therapy as the primary focus during the pilot phase
  • Missouri families during our initial pilot program, with plans to expand as the program grows

Every family's journey is unique, and every application is reviewed with care, compassion, and respect.

What Support May Include

  • Licensed outpatient mental health therapy
  • Scholarship assistance for approved therapy sessions
  • Help bridging insurance gaps, deductibles, or other out-of-pocket costs when eligible

How the Application Process Works

  1. Complete the application below.
  2. Our team carefully reviews your information and verifies eligibility.
  3. If approved, BLING coordinates scholarship funding directly with the licensed provider.
  4. Your family is notified of the next steps.

You don't have to navigate this journey alone.

Program Guidelines

To ensure responsible stewardship and the highest level of care, scholarship funding is provided only for licensed mental health services that align with the mission of the BLING Children's Mental Health Scholarship Program.

  • Services must be provided by licensed mental health professionals.
  • Scholarships are intended to supplement—not replace—insurance and other available resources whenever possible.
  • Funding is awarded based on verified need, program eligibility, and available resources.
  • Scholarship assistance is limited and cannot be guaranteed.

At this time, the program does not provide funding for:

  • Non-mental health services
  • Services provided by non-licensed practitioners
  • Medical procedures, medications, or treatments outside licensed mental health counseling and therapy
  • Emergency or crisis mental health services
